okay, today is a weird day[for the fourth time today, i am saying this.]

it started with chinese, we did our chinese essays on the chinese blog in the computer lab. then it was recess, i didn't get a chance to STEP near the canteen at all, because i went to play badminton with a classmate of shannon's. she's quite pro lahhs, just that she keeps apologising. quite a nice girl.

then it was home ec, we stayed in the classroom for a while, then went to the home ec room to do experiments. we drank the different coloured solutions[all 7-up, actually] until we had stomachaches. i ate one apple from the experiment too.

then we had self study, i took many yummy marshmallows brought by rachel.. and stayed in class for self-study.

then maths, we went to IT resource room 1, did some thingy with green and red beans..

then it was LCE, then dismissal!

i went to the canteen and ate my lunch, then proceeded to the music room. then choir started..

the china people came around to see us singing.. then the air con conked out on us..

i mean, really. there was this whitish smoke coming out.. and this smell like battery melting..
then we did our usual choir songs, and the national day songs.
then it was election time.. well i guess it's better having no votes than having one vote which you voted for yourself.. right?

so anyway, the committee members of 2007/2008 of choir are(drumroll)

YING YIAN! as expected.
AMILY! hey, i voted for her!
SEBASTIAN!
MING TECK!

DEBRA! well i kinda expected her to get in.
DARYL! expected.
SUET YEE! she took me by surprise..

well, i do hope they do a good job, and that they will be better people than what i know of them previously.

and it was HOME SWEET HOME!

oh jeez! i got a media club article to do! tata!

why do guys have to be so irritating? some of them just don't know when to stop.

so today was 20th july, the day of the racial harmony fair. choir had to assemble at 6.45am for the assembly programme later. yes, and i chiong-ed to the toilet to change, because we were not supposed to wear our choir tee and jeans to school. got soem people lorr, wake up late, arrive at school so late. win le lor. anyway, i think i wasn't quite nervous, just shaking a little because the air condition was switched on. well, at least i managed to smile. hees.

then we had to change back into our school uniform, and rush for home economics. today was practical lesson, and we did shepherd's pie. it turned out quite yummy.

then was music, quite the normal, just that mrs may tan came and put up some printed photos of our HK trip on the board.

went back to collect shepherd's pie in home ec room and went for recess. drank a cup of milo.

then it was history time, mr er didn't plan to teach at all. then he talked and talked and talked, and then, BRRRRRIIIINNNG!!! the bell rang and we were dismissed early. walked around with mum until it was time to help out at our class stall. i helped sell some lollipops, carried the sign around my neck and got some smiles from people..

it was then time to go for choir. we went to the same holding place, and practiced a little, walked around a little, talked a little.. and such. the leaders also sprayed this blue hairspray on our hair.(and glitter on our hair and body). aiyo, i wanted some dark colour like the boys one lehhs. they spray so much but the colour still can't be obvious. at least the glitter was bling-bling.
can't wait for national day to come~!

we then went to perform, i think i really did my best, smiled a lot, actions bigger a little, bounce more.. and for once i wasn't nervous. HIP HIP HOORAY! i guess going to the Hong Kong Cultral Centre really helped.

after the performance, we were soon dismissed.

i went around interviewing people for my article, and even got a chance to talk to Mr George Yeo!(thanks to the help from Ms Michael)

then i went to the muffin and egg tarts stall and helped sell finish the rest of the food. man, it was really tiring, shouting so loudly. wonder if i will still have my voice tomorrow.

but anyway, later samantha's bf and friends appeared. and even though me and samantha had told them many times not to pull on her hair anymore, but they just carried on. please luhs, it can get irritating, okay?

but anyway, it was a tiring but meaningful day.

HIP HIP HOORAY~

okay, so i'm back from hong kong with a lighter luggage than i brought there..

erm, i'm not going to put pics until i find an online album and can link it..

MONDAY, 9TH JULY

plane flight was dreary and i got a bit awful, though there was haagen-dazs ice cream for dessert.. watched monsters inc. and mr bean on the personal tv.. on the plane, i got a few packs of poker cards for myself and leon[who loves flourishing eh]. and a chip and dale children's pack. T.T

1 hour ride to hostel, skept most part of it.

our rooms are five floors up, including ground floor is SIX FLOORS in total!!

dinner was nothing special.

orientation activities were fun too. human bingo and human encounters and the last game where you had to sit on each other's lap. like, form a circle and put your hands on the person in front's shoulders, and try to sit down. then we tried it with everybody, but it didn't really work. lols.

Today, I bought:
A Garfield keychain(S$4.76)
Pipagao sachets, cost split with suyu(HK$13-i paid)

TUESDAY, 10TH JULY

This morning we had breakfast of bread, (damn salty) macaroni, and egg.

we went for our various atelier rehearsals. Ms Kathy Fok is quite nice.

Back to atelier rehearsals after lunch.

After which, we had the opening ceremony at the college chapel.

Then we went to the hostel, then to TSIMSHATSUI!
I bought my Starbucks Mocha Frap(VENTI!)with yummy whipped cream and chocolate powder. Then we walked around in our shopping groups(me, shannon, suyu, dave) and with our tourguide from SPCC, Erica.

We ate our dinner at the food court.

Watched Symphony of Lights(erm..) and went to the Avenue of Stars.
went back to hostel.

Today, I bought:
Bubblegum(HK$10)
Hello Kitty tee (HK$79.90)
Starbucks(HK$39)

WEDNESDAY, 11TH JULY

Rehearsals all day. Tiring luhs.

Bought nothing today, duh.

THURSDAY, 12TH JULY

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAMANTHA!
Today was the Grand Concert at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
Had our last atelier rehearsal, then changed into our gowns and heels.

Full dress rehearsal was tiring.

Actual performance, i dunno why but i was a bag of nerves.
Probably because of the new environment, or that we were representing Singapore?
or maybe because the previous songs were all very serious-toned.
Atelier performance was okay too.

Ms Fok thanked us profusely after the performance, I am so happy.

At the time of record, i was in my room at 1.12 am, eating Koko Krunch for my "dinner".
T.T

as a result of forgetting to spray insect repellant that day, i have many souvenirs to bring back to singapore.

mosquito bites.

FRIDAY, 13TH JULY

Today i wore the class tee, and everybody kept calling me "deal with it".
really. like when i wore my phantom tee, sean was singing the song. haha.

We started with (awful tasting ever) breakfast. We then went for the CUHK Music Department tour, quite cool lahhs.

After that was lunch.
We(our lunch table) played 终极密码 zhong ji mi ma. I was too full to play, so i just set the numbers. And i set it by random, not by birthyear or anything. Like shannon thought i put his birthday. haha, nah.

Whoever kena had to go outside(there was a big glass window) and do soemthing funny and someone had to laugh before they could come back in. I wasn't counted because i was laughing at everything.

Then we went for the Hong Kong tour, dunno what bridge, Stanley Plaza, and Victoria Peak.

We(Rachel and me) spotted a VSO! So she bought it for Roy. As it was 3 for HK$100, I bought one light bus and one taxi model for myself.

Victoria Peak was shopping spree time! I bought one Hard Rock Cafe lanyard, one Hillsong CD and its t-shirt. Hard Rock Cafe also sold DRUMSTICKS at HK$120(S$24)! It was really cool, with all these little patterns on them. There were fire flames, dragons, and many others. I also wanted to buy a t-shirt(HK$160) but decided not to.

We also played machine games(XBOX, PSP, Nintendo, The Sims etc.) at the EA games shop. I wanted to buy a jacket(HK $325) too, but decided it was too kiddish.

Ate MACS for dinner with our HK$50 allowance, and Haagen-Dazs ice cream. It was melting really fast and it got my hands sticky.

I had to go to the toilet to wash my hands. Ane some Korean ladies were queueing up for the ONLY female cubicle on the whole floor and didn't understand that i just wanted to wash my hands, so i had to go into the male toilet. eww.

Then when i came out, some Australians were like, in shock, this says a male toilet..
And i was like, sorry lahhs..

Wonderful day.

Today, I bought:
2 vehicle models(HK$61)
Hard Rock Cafe lanyard(HK$ 60)
Hillsong CD(HK $105)
Hillsong tee(HK$79)
Macs dinner(HK$20.10)
Haagen-Dazs ice cream(HK$29)

SATURDAY, 14TH JULY

Today was the Choir-to-Choir concert at the CUHK chapel. Miss Yee allowed me to sing the Alto "trio" part with Zhi Hui for Te Queiro because I finally remembered all the words.
Well, considering I kept singing the words in my head, i'm happy.

Some complimented me on the singing and i felt quite happy and satisfied because i think i went a little too high at one part.

We went to Sha Tin for the farewell dinner. They had booked 3/4 of the restaurant for us. Cool eh.

When it was time to leave, Fecilia and Zai Ting started to cry again.
That got me started too, because i think the days passed so quickly.

Sigh, time passes so quickly when you're having fun.

SUNDAY, 15TH JULY

Today was the day of crazy crying. After breakfast, we went back to the hostel to bring our luggages down. Zai Ting and Fecilia started crying and after a while, I could not control it any longer.

We hugged our Hong Kong friends for the last time and boarded the bus.
No matter how much my friends asked me to smile, I couldn't stop crying.
I got so emo that i needed someone to sit next to me(before i went crazy).
That comforter was Shannon.
I remember him saying, cry it all out and you'll fell better.
So i did. and he cracked a few(cold) jokes and got me laughing a little.

We reached the airport and checked in our luggages. then we checked into the counter and were free to shop for about 2 hours or so.

Miss Yee allowed us to go in pairs for once, so me and shannon followed her until she went to popeye's to buy food. then she said it was awkward for her to eat and us to watch, so me and shannon left her(alone to eat).

We went to the Hong Kong Disneyland SHOP. there was a promotion.

1 short sleeve tee+1jacket=HK$100

shannon took the tee, i took the jacket. so HK$50 each right?
if you know HK currency, that is S$10.
FOR A GENUINE HONG KONG DISNEYLAND JACKET!
AND IT FIT ME!
i mean, oh wowwow!

then we walked around a little, i bought some ondehondeh-like kueh at 3 for HK$27.

and redeemed a fan which has lighting. shannon took it, though.
and we boarded the plane and it's

HOME SWEET HOME!

omg, so tired. goodnight.
i'll try to upload the photos asap.

but i'll like to thank those who bought from my mobile sales.
(drumroll)
i'd like to thank the dental nurse who bought from me after her lunch
also thanking mr er for buying from me too(the money got snatched away from aloysius!!! so ungentleman-ly lahhs.)
and all those who came up to me to buy instead of me going up to ask them.
i also want to thank sarah[2 integ] for buying.
and
others who bought from me too, either i don't know you or i forgot your name.

and last but not least,
i want to thank kienan
for buying FROM me and FOR ME[thanks for the green tea, really needed it.]
and thanks for buying that "deformed" coke.
and thanks for keeping me company, though just for a little while.

thanks to everyone once again!

screw the racial harmony day performance

as if the rehearsals have not screwed up my schedule enough, luckily there was no drama production today.

no, i am standing at a place where no one with a 1.5m height can EVER see me.
what i mean is, i'm standing at the end of the fourth row. the last row. and i kinda hate standing behind.
and i have been coming for choir practices!! i don't just disappear without a valid reason! and although i come a little late occasionally, i still come!
but some people just SKIP choir and don't give a bloody damn! but they still can stand at the second row?

and today amelia was moved to the second row too. now what, i'm supposed to stand behind and look pretty?

and the songs. i was already singing very loudly! do you want me to scream? then i'll lose my voice for sure! and some people don't even know the words, yet the get to stand in front. i know the words for the songs, even the chorus for di tanjong katong!

they don't open their mouths, they stand in front. for those who try really hard, they stand behind?

so you're trying to say, i should just not give a damn, and skip choir whenever i want? then i can stand in front?

fine then. at the most you'll just remove me from this performance right? good, then at least i'll have one lesser thing to care about.

see if i care.

THURSDAY, 5TH JULY 2007

some 2unity guys are such complete suckers.

the day in school was normal. after school, i went to hougang mall to attempt the homework mdm divya assigned to us to do when we were in hong kong.. then ate lunch there, and went to ntuc to buy some groceries.

then saw this HUGE luggage[half my height!] which cost $39.90, and we[me and mum] later realised there was ANOTHER smaller luggage inside, and decided it was really worth it, so we bought it.

then i was carrying it out of hougang mall and then i saw rufus and gang. well, they started laughing at me, then i said to my mom: what's so funny about a girl carrying a luggage?

then they went to black faced and stopped laughing.

suckers.

FRIDAY, 6TH JULY 2007

today started with assembly, the prize giving ceremony for the sports carnival. i had a prize for tug of war, but was deprived of witnessing the prize giving!!! why? we had to go for first friday mass. not that mass is the one at fault[it definitely isn't], why did the school have to choose TODAY!!!! mass only comes once in four weeks, crap lahhs.

and it's like, we're downstairs having mass, they're receiving prizes upstairs. and i'm also involved. then home economics, i'm partner-ed with gabriel this year.. erm then it was music, tong hua finally sounds much better after much re-writing.

then recess. then history.

mr er was like, everybody remain standing except those going to hong kong.. then i started to sit down.. then realised he meant that those going to hong kong reamined standing.. then some guys in our class were trying to be funny and remained standing.. lols. mr er gave out the homework we were supposed to do. so nice one wor!!! he typed a nice letter to us, then photocopied the whole chapter four, and also put in some ministry of education foolscap papers, and put a vey nice paperclip! so cool lahhs.

then during lunch, i sat with anne and wantian. they told me that during assembly they announced that whoever sold the most tickets would get a PSP someone donated.

over my dead body will i sell tickets for a PSP.
i'm already busy enough with the reharsals for the event already.
and the hong kong trip!!!

then went for choir. brushed up and learnt new dance steps.
then had practice for hk tour people.
then it was home sweet home!

dinner and ice cream for dessert. YUM.

♥{Siying!} 9:07 PM

Wednesday, July 04, 2007

today was a normal school day. started with science. then history. then.. recess.. then maths.. english.. mdm divya didn't come! lols. then LCE.

the class did some discussion on love while we watched lion king for religious ed. what the hell lahhs. so unfair!!! then mr tan fast forwarded the movie when it was getting interesting.. grr!!!

then due to re ended late, i i ate my lunch rather late.. arrgh. then went for choir. finally certain of the dance steps for racial harmony songs. then went home.

zzz.

milo makes me hyper!

milo gives me crazy laughing fits.

today started with pe, i really wanted to at least pass shuttle run first, didn't manage to, sigh. then was science, nothing much. then recess, then chinese, then maths, then history. nothing much to mention. then after school had the australian maths competition, then went for lunch at hougang mall, then tuition. after tuition, went to tan tock seng hospital to visit my grandfather. he was admitted because he complains of dizzy spells. sigh. then on the way home, bought a cup of cold milo from the vending machine there. then i suddenly became very hyper, laughing and hiccuping at the same time. so it's *talk**laugh**HIC!*, *talk**laugh**HIC!* and the pattern carries on. then i stopped laughing after we got into the train, but then after that it was so quiet in the mrt, then i started laughing again, and everyone was like staring at me..

no milo for me at night.

♥{Siying!} 10:22 PM

Monday, July 02, 2007

went for the acuvue teens movie marathon today, really MUCH MORE exciting than cleaning out the theatre of gifts props space at the attic. not that tog isn't exciting, the rehearsal was FUN! but the meeting is a complete drag.

okay. about today.

the day started and i was putting on my nike shoes for the first time, and ready to go, when KNOCK KNOCK! [in chinese] CHECKING FOR MOSQUITOES! [jian cha wen zi!] then i was like, oh shit, i'm supposed to meet shannon soon, why of all times?! then the karang guni came at the same time, mom sold our old clothing and newspapers for $2.20, which i got to keep[yay!], then the national environment agency people came in to check after the karang guni was gone. luckily the just took a short while.

then went to shannon house bus stop, waited for him, then took bus to kovan mrt. then took the train to dhoby ghaut, changed to somerset, then walked towards cathay cineleisure orchard to eat our breakfast at the yoshinoya there.

then at 12 went to collect our tickets first, the people were SO friendly lahhs. then went to walk around there, went to paragon to see their crumpler bags, then when about time, we came back to collect our FREE POPCORN AND DRINK and went into the cinema. was really packed. our seats were three rows from the back.

came the kayu host, he talked for so long lahhs, then we were all like so unresponsive. then he asked a few questions. he asked one particular question: which two spectacle shops can you get 15% off for contact lenses? then someone answered nanyang optical, then i was like nudging shannon; ay! say la! capitol optical! then he[shannon] shouted so loudly, CAPITOL OPTICAL! the host was like, who said that? very close! capitol what? then i shouted this time, CAPITOL OPTICAL! then he said, ah! who said that? then i raised my hand. duh. got a kinda nice acuvue water bottle.

FINALLY the movies were screened. nancy drew was more my kind of show, mystery and all. then transformers was all bomb bomb bomb here and there, but still very nice. the sound and visual effects really rocked. loves bumblebee(:

we didn't get the top prize, an ipod. but later on shannon went up to kick some ass[as he says] and got a transformers lanyard, notebook, and poster.

then went to pizza hut at centrepoint for dinner, it was really late because that host was REALLY long winded, all of us was like, whatever la, hurry up.. and my phone was bombarded with messages. then the ice lemon tea, you have to add your own SWEETENER, the first time i tried it i didn't, then it tasted to disgustingly bitter! dumb.

then took mrt home. finally i am home! so damn tired. wish there wasn't school tomorrow. sigh.

IT'S JULY!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND IT'S YOUTH DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY YOUTH DAY TO ALL YOUTHS OUT THERE!

whee. today there was a blessing for all youths in church, kinda not used to it. after church, we brought grandpa to the doctor because his leg was swollen. poor thing. we went to the doctor at serangoon ave 4, the clinic where i used to go when i was YOUNG. and i mean YOUNG. evidence: the doctor didn't recognise me. AH! THIS IS CLARA AH! GROWN SO BIG ALREADY. lols. then we met some other people i vaguely remember, also one of my old neighbours! cool eh. then went to changi airport to confirm the cathay pacific rows for our hk trip, then bought an exchange gift for the other choir-ers. then went home early, because harry potter was showing tonight! then now it's finished, part 1, and i'm blogging.

happy youth day to me!

Describing myself in one paragraph
I'm a cam-whore freak who has a standard smile for photos. Think pearly teeth, wide grin.
I love journalism and cows.
That means I love expressing myself in words and dairy products.
Purple is my favourite colour.
Which means my eyes are specially focused to notice purple. I love dark purple.
Singing is my passion. Especially in the shower.
People say I have a lame sense of humour.
But I still like making people laugh.
I can be random at times.
For example, I can't draw for nuts.
I laugh at anything and everything.
*only applicable when I'm happy

I'm a perfectionist.
Oh, and I admit I'm a sensitive, stubborn and self-centered girl.
& I can be annoying at times too!
