advertisements i find quite funny/nice:

hahaha! so nice.

okay so today was my home economics practical exam. well i thought my fruit pizza was quite nice, however i did not take a picture of it, because i was getting healing cream from miss nai, who asked.. mrs kang?

yup. healing cream. cos i scalded my fingers.

so here's what happened.
i was taking out the tray(with my pizza on it) from the oven after baking with only one hand inside the oven mitt. suddenly, it tilted towards the left(my un-mitted hand). so in a hurry, i used my left hand and tried to prevent the pizza from dropping, forgetting i wasn't wearing mitts on my left hand. so. my middle and ring finger are slightly scalded. *ouch*

you want to see it?

_l_

there!

oops.

oh i think after this, i want to avoid coming online anymore. the exams are coming, the stress is coming.. oh.

today it was a normal day at church, catechism, mass(thanks michael for the birthday present!).. then my grandpa, my dad, mom, and me went to amk hub. grandpa went home first. so my family went to the foodcourt to eat lunch.

then after that, we were discussing where to go. i was strongly against going home, because.. i didn't want to.

so we went to the fourth floor, dad suggested watching 881. so since the next show's timing was suitable, he went to buy tickets while me and mom went to zone x. we checked the drum machine, there was a pro(a very young boy, but a good player) playing there, so we came out again. watched people putting all those precious coins into that toy catcher machine. me and mom discussed that it wasn't worth it, the legs of the catcher were not strong at all. and that is also why they can put the toy so near, yet it still doesn't come out. it's just a psychological tempt. then i said that tiemzone's toy catcher's machines are better, the legs are stronger.

so then after that, me and my dad went back inside to check whether the drum machine was occupied, with my mother in tow, and luckily there was no one there anymore! so i went to buy a TAPZ card, and later found out that we already had two of these cards at home. but anyway.

so i got out my drumsticks and played a few songs. at the end of two games(10 songs ah, no joke! though i play only three songs), my hands were thoroughly NUMB. so then we walked around, and went into the cinema place.

881 is quite a nice show. Qi Yuwu didn't have to talk in this show at all(he was a mute), yet he was the male lead! I bet he got the highest amount of salary from the cast of this show.

oh and after that, we went home. so here i am now, done with the list of songs for the family gathering, with justin's help, and i'm adding new songs to my ipod.

i realise i'm having mood swings nowadays. one minute i can be happy, the next moment i'm cursing.

careful. this girl's dangerous. (:

TODAY! was theatre of gifts outing(not exactly, because it was at Jill's HOUSE). but whatever.

we started with meeting, where we discussed everything to be discussed. from money issues, to feast day celebrations, to combined camp, to family freeze frame(families of TOG gathering). oh and I was put in charge for music. so whatever the people would be listening to for the night(besides Brian's emcee-ing), would be decided by me, with a little help from Justin.

then it was makan time! we ate some indian food and beehoon cooked by Jill's auntie. I thought the curry would be spicy, but I tried the potato and thought it was quite okay. there was also that cracker i liked. papadum, they call it, I think. and that pasta was quite nice too. but there was too little, when I wanted more, it was gone. oh and there were longans and grapes to top it off.

we watched two movies, Alone and Hot Fuzz. both were SUPERSUPER cool. alone was kinda scary at some parts, and the music made it even scarier. but as it was a thai show, the subtitles were kinda wrong, so we spelt a great deal laughing at it.

When Alone had finished, Jill and Beverley went to the kitchen. I wanted to get more TimeOut chocolates, and when I walked past the kitchen, I saw Beverley looking out for people passing(aha). So I just ignored it, and went back to the living room to savour my choc. Halfway through, Jill came out holding the cake, Beverley next to her, and everyone started singing the birthday song. That was quite awkward, me, paused with half-eaten chocolate in hand, speechless. But I got up, made a wish, blew the candles, and cut the (OOH!) chocolate cake. The people in Theatre of Gifts are so nice! They spent $22(i think) on a cake for me, while Reggie who recently turned EIGHTEEN only got a.. kiddy cake. Hey, if any one of you from TOG are reading this, please do not spend so much money on a cake for me in future! Haha. But that was really, really nice.

So after that, we watched Hot Fuzz. Actually, the girls went into a room to talk or something. I'm not so sure. But I stayed in the living room with the guys because I hadn't watched Hot Fuzz before. It was a real COMEDY, very funny! But there were some parts which were kinda gross. Like when the church roof came down on the news reporter guy. Oh but I felt the counterattack in the supermarket with what was left of the police officers, was COOL.

So when Hot Fuzz finished, they cleared up everything, took some "formal class" photos(no smile!) where only my sleeve could be seen, because my first row(Jared, Joel, Justin, Me) was too squeezed. Oh, there's always a next time. Brian wasn't in the photo, too, anyway, cos he had to leave early.

We walked back to Ang Mo Kio MRT Station(TOG, with the exception of me and.. was it Mel or Hyacinth? was going to The Jeweler's Shop cast party), where I walked through the underpath to AMK Hub to meet my mom, and together we went to my grandpa's house. Uncle Phey(my deceased Uncle Peter's classmate who had migrated to Australia) was coming over, so I had to miss the cast party. I didn't help out anyway, so.. oh well. But when Uncle Phey came over and started boasting about his daughters, especially one same age as me, half my size, and there was my grandma who keep singing praises of my little cousin Geraldine who hadn't arrived with her parents yet(they are always late, that family), my uncle(Geraldine's father) who kept stepping on my foot and hitting me so hard on purpose, it started to rub in REAL HARD: HOW I WISH I WAS WITH TOG!!! oh crap. what a lovely ending to a beautiful day. sigh. and Justin made it no better by saying that he was having fun there.. (remember that heehee in your reply to my sms, Justin?) sigh.

now, why didn't i choose to go for the cast party?

Oh and before I end this post, today Jill also announced to us that she will be leaving for Seattle, America in three months' time. Though I didn't do this just now, I'll say it here: ALL THE BEST TO JILL! (:

oh yeahhh, i finally found time to BLOG. let si ying teach some singaporean techniques.

PRESENTING:

SI YING'S DUMMY BOOK TO SINGAPOREAN BEHAVIOURS (based on real-life examples)

1) If the ice cream promoter obviously does not want to let you have a sample, all the more you should get it.
2) If some woman stands behind you waiting for you to finish eating at the food court, so that she can sit, and gives you this bitchy look, purposely take your time to eat.
3) Rush into the train, if you want to fall like i once did.( thanks to smrt)
4) Blast your music if you want to get scolded.

1a)At fairprice xtra( amk hub), this ice cream promoter from haagen-daaz was giving out samples. so i thought i'd get one and try it( since it's always so expensive). then she pretended i was invisible, and handed out ice cream to everybody but me. so i got so fed up, i stuck my hand out in front of her, and when she finally gave it to me, i just grabbed it out of her hand and walked away.

2a) Today at Hougang mall's 4th floor foodcourt, there was this woman with her whole family of about five (her mother, husband, two children, and herself) waiting to occupy our table which my grandmother, her maid, and my family were still eating yet. And she stood behind my dad, and gave me this OH-SO-BITCHY look. and we were not even done eating yet! then they started talking among themselves, until we all got so pissed off, we took our time to eat. oh and when we FINALLY got up, you know what that bitchy woman said?
(in chinese) wow, eat so much until cannot stand up ah?
MAN, WAS I PISSED!

3a) Well, if you wanna fall and hurt your leg like i did, you are most welcome to rush into the train. especially smrt trains. don't say i didn't warn you. so much for PLEASE MIND THE PLATFORM GAP.

4a) Today, this middle-aged man was blasting his music from his handphone, at the bus stop. So i followed Mr Lee Kim Tai, Sec 2 Year Head, and said to my mom, wow, his music very nice hor? sarcasm abound, yeah. so unless you want to be scolded indirectly, especially in the morning, please refrain from blasting music. it is totally inconsiderate.

oh, that's about it. it's so late already.

Describing myself in one paragraph
I'm a cam-whore freak who has a standard smile for photos. Think pearly teeth, wide grin.
I love journalism and cows.
That means I love expressing myself in words and dairy products.
Purple is my favourite colour.
Which means my eyes are specially focused to notice purple. I love dark purple.
Singing is my passion. Especially in the shower.
People say I have a lame sense of humour.
But I still like making people laugh.
I can be random at times.
For example, I can't draw for nuts.
I laugh at anything and everything.
*only applicable when I'm happy

I'm a perfectionist.
Oh, and I admit I'm a sensitive, stubborn and self-centered girl.
& I can be annoying at times too!
Hey, we all have flaws, alright.
Bitch about me, and you're dead.
I'll sit on you.
