MONDAY, 9TH JULYplane flight was dreary and i got a bit awful, though there was haagen-dazs ice cream for dessert.. watched monsters inc. and mr bean on the personal tv.. on the plane, i got a few packs of poker cards for myself and leon[who loves flourishing eh]. and a chip and dale children's pack. T.T
1 hour ride to hostel, skept most part of it.
our rooms are five floors up, including ground floor is SIX FLOORS in total!!
dinner was nothing special.
orientation activities were fun too. human bingo and human encounters and the last game where you had to sit on each other's lap. like, form a circle and put your hands on the person in front's shoulders, and try to sit down. then we tried it with everybody, but it didn't really work. lols.
Today, I bought:
A Garfield keychain(S$4.76)
Pipagao sachets, cost split with suyu(HK$13-i paid)
TUESDAY, 10TH JULYThis morning we had breakfast of bread, (damn salty) macaroni, and egg.
we went for our various atelier rehearsals. Ms Kathy Fok is quite nice.
Back to atelier rehearsals after lunch.
After which, we had the opening ceremony at the college chapel.
Then we went to the hostel, then to TSIMSHATSUI!
I bought my Starbucks Mocha Frap(VENTI!)with yummy whipped cream and chocolate powder. Then we walked around in our shopping groups(me, shannon, suyu, dave) and with our tourguide from SPCC, Erica.
We ate our dinner at the food court.
Watched Symphony of Lights(erm..) and went to the Avenue of Stars.
went back to hostel.
Today, I bought:
Bubblegum(HK$10)
Hello Kitty tee (HK$79.90)
Starbucks(HK$39)
WEDNESDAY, 11TH JULYRehearsals all day. Tiring luhs.
Bought nothing today, duh.
THURSDAY, 12TH JULYHAPPY BIRTHDAY SAMANTHA!
Today was the Grand Concert at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
Had our last atelier rehearsal, then changed into our gowns and heels.
Full dress rehearsal was tiring.
Actual performance, i dunno why but i was a bag of nerves.
Probably because of the new environment, or that we were representing Singapore?
or maybe because the previous songs were all very serious-toned.
Atelier performance was okay too.
Ms Fok thanked us profusely after the performance, I am so happy.
At the time of record, i was in my room at 1.12 am, eating Koko Krunch for my "dinner".
T.T
as a result of forgetting to spray insect repellant that day, i have many souvenirs to bring back to singapore.
mosquito bites.
FRIDAY, 13TH JULYToday i wore the class tee, and everybody kept calling me "deal with it".
really. like when i wore my phantom tee, sean was singing the song. haha.
We started with (awful tasting ever) breakfast. We then went for the CUHK Music Department tour, quite cool lahhs.
After that was lunch.
We(our lunch table) played 终极密码
zhong ji mi ma. I was too full to play, so i just set the numbers. And i set it by random, not by birthyear or anything. Like shannon thought i put his birthday. haha, nah.
Whoever
kena had to go outside(there was a big glass window) and do soemthing funny and someone had to laugh before they could come back in. I wasn't counted because i was laughing at everything.
Then we went for the Hong Kong tour, dunno what bridge, Stanley Plaza, and Victoria Peak.
We(Rachel and me) spotted a VSO! So she bought it for Roy. As it was 3 for HK$100, I bought one light bus and one taxi model for myself.
Victoria Peak was shopping spree time! I bought one Hard Rock Cafe lanyard, one Hillsong CD and its t-shirt. Hard Rock Cafe also sold DRUMSTICKS at HK$120(S$24)! It was really cool, with all these little patterns on them. There were fire flames, dragons, and many others. I also wanted to buy a t-shirt(HK$160) but decided not to.
We also played machine games(XBOX, PSP, Nintendo, The Sims etc.) at the EA games shop. I wanted to buy a jacket(HK $325) too, but decided it was too kiddish.
Ate MACS for dinner with our HK$50 allowance, and Haagen-Dazs ice cream. It was melting really fast and it got my hands sticky.
I had to go to the toilet to wash my hands. Ane some Korean ladies were queueing up for the ONLY female cubicle on the whole floor and didn't understand that i just wanted to wash my hands, so i had to go into the male toilet. eww.
Then when i came out, some Australians were like, in shock, this says a male toilet..
And i was like, sorry lahhs..
Wonderful day.
Today, I bought:
2 vehicle models(HK$61)
Hard Rock Cafe lanyard(HK$ 60)
Hillsong CD(HK $105)
Hillsong tee(HK$79)
Macs dinner(HK$20.10)
Haagen-Dazs ice cream(HK$29)
SATURDAY, 14TH JULYToday was the Choir-to-Choir concert at the CUHK chapel. Miss Yee allowed me to sing the Alto "trio" part with Zhi Hui for Te Queiro because I finally remembered all the words.
Well, considering I kept singing the words in my head, i'm happy.
Some complimented me on the singing and i felt quite happy and satisfied because i think i went a little too high at one part.
We went to Sha Tin for the farewell dinner. They had booked 3/4 of the restaurant for us. Cool eh.
When it was time to leave, Fecilia and Zai Ting started to cry again.
That got me started too, because i think the days passed so quickly.
Sigh, time passes so quickly when you're having fun.
SUNDAY, 15TH JULYToday was the day of crazy crying. After breakfast, we went back to the hostel to bring our luggages down. Zai Ting and Fecilia started crying and after a while, I could not control it any longer.
We hugged our Hong Kong friends for the last time and boarded the bus.
No matter how much my friends asked me to smile, I couldn't stop crying.
I got so emo that i needed someone to sit next to me(before i went crazy).
That comforter was Shannon.
I remember him saying, cry it all out and you'll fell better.
So i did. and he cracked a few(cold) jokes and got me laughing a little.
We reached the airport and checked in our luggages. then we checked into the counter and were free to shop for about 2 hours or so.
Miss Yee allowed us to go in pairs for once, so me and shannon followed her until she went to popeye's to buy food. then she said it was awkward for her to eat and us to watch, so me and shannon left her(alone to eat).
We went to the Hong Kong Disneyland SHOP. there was a promotion.
1 short sleeve tee+1jacket=HK$100shannon took the tee, i took the jacket. so HK$50 each right?
if you know HK currency, that is S$10.
FOR A GENUINE HONG KONG DISNEYLAND JACKET!
AND IT FIT ME!
i mean, oh wowwow!
then we walked around a little, i bought some ondehondeh-like kueh at 3 for HK$27.
and redeemed a fan which has lighting. shannon took it, though.
and we boarded the plane and it's
HOME SWEET HOME!
omg, so tired. goodnight.
i'll try to upload the photos asap.
