Tomorrow is probably my last choir practice with the HIHS Choir.
Thinking back to where I started, I realise it's been a long journey. I joined the CHIJ OLN choir in Primary 3, because it was a CCA that practices were in an air-con room. The choir was still in newborn stage then, and we hardly knew what was going on. We were coached by Trevor Nerva at first, then it became Ms Lim Bee Na. This woman made me feel that vocal conductors are funny people. And then, being as blur as I was, we participated in SYF 2004 without me even realising it was a competition. We got a Silver. It was the Choir's first award. I was in the first batch to participate in SYF and clinch a medal for our school.
And then I went on to HIHS. Initially, I wanted to join Air Rifle because it sounded "cool". Drama attracted me too. However, I still chose to join Choir. I recall my audition was before the official one that most people went for. So I sat in a seat at the side, and had an amazing experience. The choir sounded beautiful. And compared to the high, immature screeching voices at CHIJ OLN, this was a vast difference. I was truly amazed.
Then I got into the choir, went on many overseas trips and performed in school and public events. Three years passed quickly, even my days as the Alto sectional leader. I was nervous at first, afraid that I wouldn't be able to grasp the things I needed to know. But hey, everything became fluid with time.
And now I graduate, probably never going to sing in a choir again. I miss it all, but I guess these memories have made me to be who I am.
Eight years in a choir, and it ends this Friday. But I never stop singing.

Describing myself in one paragraph
I'm a cam-whore freak who has a standard smile for photos. Think pearly teeth, wide grin.
I love journalism and cows.
That means I love expressing myself in words and dairy products.
Purple is my favourite colour.
Which means my eyes are specially focused to notice purple. I love dark purple. Singing is my passion. Especially in the shower.
People say I have a lame sense of humour.
But I still like making people laugh.
I can be random at times.
For example, I can't draw for nuts. I laugh at anything and everything.

Oh, and I admit I'm a sensitive, stubborn and self-centered girl.
